Hi everyone, I just wanted to find out what this RSD is. I had carpul Tunnel surgery 2 yrs ago and at the time because of pain above the elbow he thought I might have ulner nerve involved. We went ahead and just did the hand area to release the ligament. I have been having enormous pain in my arm above and below the elbow. Shooting type pain. I cannot hold my arm up for a great period of time it feels like it has a weight attached and I also have pain. I cannot hold onto heavy objects or grasp things very long. I have a great loss of strength in my left hand. Anyone who is going through this let me know what I should do. Thanks

I had a diagnosis of RSD. Risk Sympathetic Dystrophy.
Its basically chronic pain, caused by an injury to an injury or by an operation. The pain can move. They don't know much about this condition. I used to have Web site marked. I think I found it by searching for RSD. There is an organization that could help you find out more.
My case is minimal. Some people are disabled by it, experiencing swelling, redness, pain all the time.
I have had relief with the anti-inflamatory drugs rather than pain medication. I think some people try other alternatives. I don't know if it gets worse by continuing to work, etc.
There is a web site- WWW.RSDSALERT.CO.UK/ (http://WWW.RSDSALERT.CO.UK/) - check it out.
