DS has been on Augmentin before for ear and sinus infections and hasn't had any problems. This time I noticed the dosage was smaller, but concentration was a little higher. Since he's been on it he's had major diaper blowouts.

At first I thought it was a stomach bug, but he doesn't have any other symptoms except liquid poo. The pharmacist is going to mix up a larger dosage, lower concentration and I'm going to try acidopholus milk. Have any other parents of CFers had problems like this.

He's eating well and drinking well. Just has a couple VERRRRY loose diapers.

 Hey again! Augmentin is very hard on the stomach. It kept my son's stomach tore up. They switched him to ceftin and no problems. Although ceftin is so thick when I draw it up into the dropper it feels like your giving them Elmer's glue, but it works great! Sharon

I'm 23 and on 1000mg Augmentin XR 4 times a day. My stomach takes it ok but I am a big guy. It has been known to give me upset stomachs in the morning though.

Ive run into the same thing - in fact we're going through it right now for a couple of weeks. I upped DS's enzymes by half a capsule. He's a toddler so he's finicky about what he'll eat, so yogurt is hit or miss, so I've been substituting acidopholus milk and an ounce of cream and he still has looser stools but not that nasty liquid stuff. Only a few more days and he'll be done.
