I am suffering from something that appears to be CTS in both hands for 15 months now.
Tried almost everything and then gave up and decided to do the surgery in one hand as the
Dr. suggested.
The surgery was performed three months ago, and there seems to be no improvement in
my condition.
I'm using now a foot switch to emulate mouse clicks, I don't know if it's related but my
feet hurts as well.
Does anyone has a clue for me ?

Have you had a MRI done on your upper and lower back? I have had bilateral CTSR and right trigger thumb release surgery and the Dr. couldn't figure out where all my pain was coming from and the numbness. I had a MRI done and it shows a possible dislocation at C-4/5 and C-5/6 and also mild hernation at C-3/4, large hernatin at C-4/5, and very large hernation at C-5/6. I have a head ache and I am loosing what use I have left of my hands and arms with pain and numbness. Please check with your Dr. and get his opinion and see if he can help.. Good Luck and God Bless
Thanks for your answer!
As a matter of fact, I had a CT done nine months ago and it shows some pressure
especially from C 5-C 6. I know I've shown this to every doctor that I saw but they said it
wasn't relevant. I do often have a tension in my upper back and neck.
Anyway, if that is causing the problem what is the treatment for it?

I go and see the orthropedic surgeon that specializes in the back Thursday for the problem I am having. I don't know what type of treatment he will offer me or if he suggest surgery. On the internet I used Google.com and looked up hernaited disk in the C-spine or neck. It said the recommended treated was antiinflamatories, bedrest, or surgery. It will be up to the Dr. Will let you know what he recommends. I would suggest you see a specialist or a neurologist that is the one that recommended that I have a MRI and then my medical Dr. who referred me to the neurologist after he got the MRI results referred me to the orthropdic specialist. My has progressed to worse since I have had the problems with CTS and the O.T. that did my FCE said that he was worried about my shoulders that they were not working as they should but the Dr. that did surgery on my hands said he had done all he could do and didn't know what was causing the pain. Don't give up you have to keep trying. I now keep a headache all the time, have pain and numbness all the time and my neck, shoulders and arms hurt all the time. I had gotten to the point I had to do something and hopefully the Dr. can tell me something Thursday will let you know Good luck and God Bless
Some details I forgot to mention:
After I came back to the doctor and said that I don't feel any improvement regarding the
surgery, he said that I have something called Tenosynovitis at the middle finger which is
causing the pain.
He gave me a cortisone shot but it had no effect. He said that at that case I should do a
minor surgery .
I'm a little bit confused about everything now, and I sure don't want to rush into another
surgery. I can't see how this little tendon can make my whole hand hurt and my wrist too.
Can anybody shed some light on this?
Thank you all.

Hi it's me again. the back Dr. put me on Relafin, Flexafin and traction at home 2 or 3 times a day all this for two weeks. If I haven't improved he is going to do a myelogram and companre it with my MRI and then possibly schedule for surgery to repair the disk and fuse them together. He said that the pain numbness and cramping in my middle fingers could be caused by the problems I am having in my neck. check with your Dr. and see what he thinks and Good Luck and god bless
