Hi. I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago about my concern of als. Well, its been a month and nothing has changed and I'm still freaking out. I still have the weakness all over my body and sometimes lately I don't even want to get out of bed because my legs are so tired and weak, especially around the knees. My hands and feet still feel achy and stiff at times. The twitches and fascilations are also getting worse. I still get twitches in my arms and elsewhere but they're really going crazy in my legs. It's in both legs and it goes from my feet all the way to my hips. I am also getting this tickling feeling in the legs and it's very annoying and nerve-racking. I just want this to go away and it's been going on for a month and I am getting more and more nervous every day. I'm 25 and just dont know what to do. I have some blood and diagnostic tests coming back next week. This situation is affecting my everyday life and I just want to know whats going on.

First of all you need to relax. Stress will cause a multitude of horrible symptoms with the body. This does not sound like ALS at all. There are several things (non-terminal) that can cause the symptoms that you are having. It sounds like you are on the right track with having the doctors look at you and having lab work drawn. If you are still having trouble with over-stressed about the possibility of ALS, you might want to consider having your doctor place you on something for anxiety. Once again Stress and Anxiety can wreak havoc on your body.

hi ctsox79
this is how my condition started, in my legs. one thing to be sure to rule out lyme disease with a lyme expert. this is difficult to get done because of inconsistancies with testing. what state are you from?

I live in Connecticut. I actually didnt't feel too bad this morning and decided to go for a jog because I'm big on exercise and haven't been able to and I thought I'd give it a shot. Well, I made it abot 1/2 mile and then my legs decided to shut down. So I'm very frustrated and I'm still getting the fascilications everywhere, especially in my legs. Somethings going on and it's driving me crazy not knowing what it is.

I understand how fearful it is not knowing! I ended up in the hospital a few weeks ago for chest pain. I kept telling them my head didn't feel right! I feel crooked, like I am sometimes being levitated.....etc. My Mom has ALS so of ciourse I thought of that too!
I am seeing a neurologist to rule things out! What type of doc are you seeing? It is scary for me too. I want it to go away & feel normal again!
I hope they figure out your symptoms soon! It is defidently frustrating!
