I Have a few uterine polyps which my docor feels I should have removed {I've heard of others who wait in hope that they'll shrink naturally}. Any thoughts?

Have any of you endured this minor surgery. If so, did you opt for full anethesia?

Is the surgery going to be a D&C? I had it done years ago with local, it was very painful. I know I would go with the general anethesia if I had to do it again.

The problem with polyps is they can turn into cancer so it would be a good idea to talk more with your Dr about waiting.

I had polyps removed about 5 years ago via D & C. I was under general anesthesia and other than a little spotting and cramping for a day or so, I felt wonderful the next day.

Yes, I believe they're doing a D&C - the doctor wasn't very specific. You have helped me to decide on removal - under general anethesia. Your responses were a big help - thanks!
