I am 36 years old with 3 kids. My periods have always been a little on the weird side. Usually every six weeks. Mut lately things have gotten a little scary. I had my period in the middle of November, and the nothing until February 1st. (not pregnant, took 6 tests) It lasted until the 8th. Then on Feb 22 got it again, lasted until march 1st. Then on march 10th I got it again, only it hasn't stopped. Everday now for 4 weeks. Not very heavy or light just like if it was the third day of a regular period. Very annoying. But the last few days I have been (not to sound gross) passing very large clots. Abput 6-8 inches long and as big around as a thumb or so. I can feel them when they are coming. I have slight discomfort in my lower region but nothing horrific. I have no insurance so I 've been leary about going to a doc. I also have been running a low grade fever for the past few days. I no it's not an STD my husband is without a doubt very faithful as am I. Would anyone have any suggestions as to what this may be?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you (sorry so long)

I realize you don't have insurance but your health is so important that this time you need to go to the doctor regardless. With the fever you probably have an infection. It needs to be treated. Isn't it better to find out and stop worrying. It could be if you continue not going that it will cost more later on anyway.
I wish you well.

P.S. Is there a free clinic in your town or Planned Parenthood. They should be able to see you and charge you according to your ability to pay. I hope this helps.

This sounds very serious and you do not need insurance to go to a free clinic or a womens community type clinic. You won't even have to pay if your income is low enough. You must get to a dcotor like now as this can be a sign of a very serious health issue.

I really appreciate your concern and I do realize I need to see a doc, and I am working on that, unfortunately where I live there isn't a whole lot of inexpensive clinics around but I am trying to get an appt. I just thought maybe someone would have an idea what this could be. I would really appreciate any insight into this. Again thank you so much for your concern and God Bless.

A little update, I am kinda get worried about this. I keep having these rather large clots(at least I think they are clots) I bleed very heacy right before one, and very light bleeding untill another one gets ready and the heavy bleeding again. This is so bizarre. Please if anyone could shed a little light on this that would be great.
Thanks again
