You didn't say your age, how old are you? You sound like what I went through. I have had so many tests done in a years period and everything always seems to be normal although I have felt really bad at times. If your hormones are fluctuating it could count for the anxiety. It is so hard to train our brain to realize nothing is really wrong just hormone fluctuations. That can cause problems with your bowels and digestive track. As far as the back when sitting, are you using good posture. what about the chair you are sitting in? I'm sure you don't have colon cancer. My obsession was I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I finally had to tell my self it was my anxieties talking. Hang in there and read the posts. Also go to the menopause boards and read.

Thank you for replying jacqbu! I will be 39 years old this year and my mother was completely through meno at age 44. I am finding all of this so very hard to deal with. I never used to be a hypochondriac, sure I was always a worrier when it came to my kids (now ages 15 and 13), but I never worried about myself. I think my fear is that something will be wrong with me and it won't be caught in time. Does this make sense? I know that I am driving my family and friends crazy beacuse I am always on the "ache and pain" topic. I don't mean to be annoying, it just helps to talk about it and see if anyone else has experienced anything similar. Again, thank you for sharing and if anyone else has anything to add, I would love to hear it.

Whenever I get stressed out I get "thin stools". And I know that magnesium can cause it as well. Thin stools shouldn't give you much concern...
