mjcm123 04-09-2005, 09:21 AM Does anyone know of an association between GERD and joint pain? Jo-chan 05-19-2005, 06:46 PM I have joint pain, but there is also swelling and tenderness. My doctor claims there is no relationship between the two, but it started about six months after I started taking prilosec. There really is nothing else I can think of that would cause it, so I'm trying to stop taking it. IT"S very difficult!!! mjcm123 05-19-2005, 07:56 PM I was taking 300 mg ranititine and the pain was incredible. I have since switched to Nexium and the joint pain has gotten significantly better. nagspope 05-20-2005, 04:36 AM I started having lower back pain and brests tenderness about a month after taking Omperazole (Prilosec). Stopped taking tham and about two weeks after the symtoms started to recede but GERD symptoms came back. Have now been on Lansoprazole (Zoton) for a weeek and a half and the Omeprazole side effects are starting to gradually go again. here in the UK the natianl health service supply you with the cheapst option, which here is Prisolec. Zoton is more expensive and has less side effects, apparently. Ho-hum. . . Joint pain is a noted side effect of Prilosec. Blasterboy 05-20-2005, 05:13 AM I used to suffer joint pain from Prilosec, especailly in my toes and fingers. This has many passed now as I haven't had to take the medication since my fundo operation 4 weeks ago. mjcm123 05-20-2005, 07:48 AM blasterboy, how are your recovery? 4 weeks out and any concerns? Blasterboy 05-20-2005, 07:55 AM Hi MJM, I posted an update on my post op thread. |
