Hello all
I am dealing with some severe GERD for the past couple of months. I am going through some tests right now (barium x-ray), and specialist coming up soon for an endoscopy. I am taking nexium 40mg, 2x/day but it is not doing anything. My throat is really inflammed, I get pain when I eat, and everything comes up, sometimes including my medication that I take for GERD. I was wondering if it came down to surgery, does anybody know of any good surgeons in Toronto (close area), Canada. I know there are a lot of good surgeons in U.S. who have done this procedure a lot, but I am not sure how common it is in here. Probably it is done a lot less. There are some good surgeons in some of the hospitals I know, but I am not sure if any of them have done fundoplication. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and have a great day.
