Has anyone here have one of those beds? 8 months and relief is minimal with every drug, now I have heart palpatations as well. I spent 70 bucks on the medslant wedge pillow and it works no better than anything else, only good thing is it is convenient for travel. Now I'm looking into the craftmatic bed that you can put in different elavations. I'm so sick of being sick, I haven't had a decent nights sleep with the wedge pillow either cuz I move alot in bed and slide down the wedge so I'm always waking up to move up on the wedge. I don't know if the PPI is giving me heart flutters or not but it started only in the last week, went away the one day I decided to not take one and now it is back. I've been on one kind of PPi or another since Sept so don't know why it would do that now unless the gerd is worse, and why shouldn't it be it's been non stop since august, maybe a month total of heartburn free but the other symptoms still there like hoarseness. My mild barrett's should be full blown by now. Anyone try one of these beds or know os someone who does?

I had looked into another brand of adjustable bed. It cost around $2200 and that is a lot of money to spend without knowing it will in fact help. I, like you, use a wedge pillow and I find that it helps me. I also raised the head of my bed about 4 inches and that also helps. I tried sleeping in a recliner and had no GERD problems but I really couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep.

I got a pillow from Medslant, and because they sent me the wrong one they ended up sending me 2! So I use both, Im rasied by 12" and find that it does make a big difference, much more of a difference than 1 pillow. So I would suggest persevering with the pillow, and rasing the bed (or mattress) by about 4-6". So you will be 10-12" in total. You will get used to it, Im very comfortable on mine now and I have been using it for a month now.
I found the ppis caused as many symptoms as they were meant to be curing so my Dr doesn't want me to take any for the time being (until Ive had tests to prove that I have gerd). Im actually feeling better now than I have for ages.
Hope that helps.
