Hi guys I need a little help if anyone knows about thisI started to bleed at about 10 weeks not alot and it was dark brown in color .The doc asked me to come in and take a blood test beta(hormone levels)called me later and said everything was fine levels were good, however I insisted on a ultrasound because everytime i went to the bathroom it looked like small pieces of tissue were coming out.Long story short the ultrasound showed no fetus just empty sac :( He mentioned maybe a molar pregnancy however my D&C&E wasnt scheduled till this coming week(ultrasound was on tuesday)So in the mean time he said to call if I fill up 2 pads in a couple hours I guess then they wont do the surgery just check blood levels again.I actually have a bunch of questions but they main one is do you always have to have the surgery with a molar or is it to like a miscarrige safe to pass on its own.If anything got left behind will they know? Also my bleeding is getting heavier almost 2 pads but how do I know this time this is it will I get the bad cramps(labor pains)or is it different cause there is no baby? Thanks

I passed a molar pregnancy on my own at 8 weeks. It was very similar to labor (cramps every 2-3 minutes for about 4 hours). I passed two large pieces of tissue that looked like it had purplish black blisters all over it. I didn't know it was a molar preg until I delivered.
My friend had a molar preg discovered at 13 weeks with an ultrasound (no heart beat was picked up with the doppler). They did a D&C right away and monitored her HCG levels once a month for several months and advised she not get pregnant for a year (she did accidentally and the baby was fine).
A molar preg can cause a rare condition called choriocarcinoma (a type of cancer). I don't want to alarm you as it is very rare but your condition does need to be monitored.
I am so sorry all of this is happening. It can be such a difficult time. Don't be afraid to tell your doctor you prefer the surgery if that's what you want. If he won't find someone who will. My heart goes out to you. I'll be praying.
Love and Prayers, Kelly

Thanks,Kelly Sorry about your lose too.I guess i should have the surgery then(in 2 days) because I havent had any cramps so that means I proberly didnt pass it although i have bleed heavy a few times.I do want to try again for another baby but a year ahh!I guess that wouldnt be so bad if I was under 30.Also I heard 2 different reasons for a molar ,which one is right the first I had a empty egg (no chromosones)The other I might have had a miscarrige and left a piece of placenta in my body which caused it.Anybody know this one? Thanks
