Hey

I am a 16 year old male. I had a stabbing/burning stomach pain for which my doctor gave me a 1 month supply of Prevacid 2X daily. I just got off the Prevacid a couple of weeks ago.

Even while I was on the Prevacid, I developed a difficulty with swallowing. I can get the food down, but then it feels very slow going down, like a heavy, pressure feeling behind my sternum. This is usually worse in the morning, though it happens all day. I can swallow liquids fine however. It's only solid foods. Can this be caused by GERD?

Thank you

I too have trouble swallowing. Can swallow cold fluids fine but any type of food forget about it. I have acid reflux/lpr.. I am on nexium 2x day. Also had a video swallow done which showed I had a weak swallow, but haven't been told is this is caused by acid reflux.
