Hey RAGDOLL!

The only thing I could find when I did a search, and I only found 4 entries both of which were duplicate, is one on a discussion for toddlers where mom's were asking about how the child goes "limp" while throwing a tantrum and such. I remember those days! LOL And a small website that is talking about designing a motorcycle jump ramp and how if they made the ramp too short the drivers would miss and of course have all kinds of bodily injuries including "ragdoll syndrome". That's all I found on the net when I searched on that name.

The only thing I can think of is maybe your extremities are "going limp" and they aren't functioning like they have mucsle control. I personally have never heard of it.

I would ask your doc, since he/she is the one who said you have it, they should have information about it.

Good luck,
tk

I did a search awhile ago and I did come across a site that mentioned "ragdoll syndrome. It was a story about a woman who would sleep all night and was to tired during the day to do anything and ended up on the couch either sleeping or watching TV.I use to have so much energy at one time, even before I was diagnosed with depression I spent a lot of time on the couch.I just wondered if the symptons sounded like CFS.I did a search for that site again but I couldn't find it.

Hey RAGDOLL,

There are many sites that give you info on CFS, just use that in your search engine, and you will even find some sites that offer a check list of symptoms you can print out, and show your doc, if you have a doc good enough to look at them! :) But try again, there are tons. There is even an CFIDS center whcih will supply a lot of info.

The one thing I have noticed since being dx'd with CFS is that it seems to be split between simple CFS and CFIDS (Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiancy Syndrome ) I see that some docs simply think it's a "sidebar" of Fibromyalgia while others think it is in fact an immune disorder. So, it's kinda up in the air.

But, yeah, take a look again. I found lots of info on the web about FM and CFS both.

Good luck,
tk
