Just wondering.... when I take certain medications, such as minocycline, why am I instructed to not lie down for at least a half an hour after taking the medication?
Is this because it won't work well, or it will hurt me? Thanks

certain meds can make you sick as a dog if you lie down after taking it. the best thing you can do, is either talk to your pharmacist, inquiring about why you cant lay down for the time it says...or do a search online about the medication you are taking to find out if it will cause you to get sick, or just not work as well.

Some meds if allowed to come back up into the esophagus can cause errosion. When you sit or stand up that is less likely to happen.
