I'm 47 year old male who has been on Lipitor for 2 1/2 years.
About six months ago I felt weird sensations in my head, little zap that would last only a senond but would get them 3-4 times a day. My doctor thought it could be my sinus and prescribed a antibiotic.
After another few months I started to feel some numbness in back of my head and on my left ear. Doctor thought it could be a blood vessel problem and told me to get an MRI. The MRI should everything was normal.
I started searching the internet and found that Liptior and other statin drugs can cause neuromuscular problems. The last two weeks the symptoms have are almost all gone, gets better with everyday since I stopped taken Lipitor.
Has anyone had head problems while on a statin drug? My doctors does not beleive that Lipitor was the cause of the problem but has no answers to what it could have been.
