Lately, along with my regular symptoms of shortness of breath and tightness in chest, there also seems to be pain in my chest/ back area. It's not a shart pain at all, nor is it acute. Instead it is a constant dull ache (almost like a muscle strain feeling associated with lifting weights, though I don't work out anymore).
Could my lungs be sore? Actually, can you even FEEL your lungs being sore? Is this a normal occurrence when you have asthma symptoms?
The pain is not too bad at all, does not stop me doing what I have to. Nor does it prevent me from lifting/ bending over, etc. I just feel it everytime I take a breath in.

Pneumonia has caused mine to feel that way, too. And I didn't even know that I had it...I went to the hospital with what turned out to be a major asthma attack, and they just happened to find the pneumonia while I was there. If I hadn't gone to the ER, I'd have never known I had it, because I just thought it was my allergies acting up, making me cough, and that I was sore from the coughing. You might want to have your doctor give a listen and make sure that you haven't developed pneumonia or something similar.
