Hi
I had a blood test last summer it cropped up that I had a slightly elevated haemoglobin level and RBC count. It should have been 11.8-14.8 and it was 15.8. My GP didnt seem overly concerned by this and thought maybe I was dehydrated but thought we should repeat it in a few months. Still high. He was baffled by this and said we could either ignore it or get a referral to a haemotologist. Since I felt fine I decided to ignore it. For something entirely unrelated I had a blood test on monday and it's gotten even higher at 17.3. That seems a lot higher, and not really "slightly" elevated anymore. I've looked online and basically come up with nothing except smoking, which I dont do. Any clues as to what is causing this? I cant be permanently dehydrated, surely?...
Thanks
