For a few years I have had many small hard and solid bumps under the skin of my chest. They range all over the sternum area and a few on my upper pectoral region. I used to think that some formed and then went away, but I am not sure any longer. They don't give me any problem except when I start itching (not b/c it itches), the skin above the bump gets increasingly itchy. This is the only physical irritation I receive from them.
I have had a few bumps that have been in the same place for a long time, (months to more than a year). They are all raised above the skin but never get bigger than the circumfrence of an eraser on the back of a pencil, and aren't raised up more than a few millimeters.
I recently cut the skin off of one, and underneath looked like a white colored hard pocket, no pain involving the hard lump but the the skin around it was bleeding normally.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I think that's what I've got as well. I found a post from this site, but it was years ago. It was still in the search engine. Anyhow, mine are deep under my skin in some places (forearms and my sternum area -- bra area). They're not painful. The doc told me they were scare tissue, but I've never had one removed. I have one that I can see the white of (odd area for that one) and some on my tailbone. I broke my tailbone a few times. I'm not sure what they are, but you're not alone. Let me know what you find.
Does he mean lymphoma? What's lipoma?
