I have read a few articles on the internet saying that apple cider vinegar is good for acid reflux. It's not saying its a cure but it helps relieve symptoms, has anyone tried using this? Work? Doesnt work? Ive been looking for some natural ways to help acid reflux instead of just taking meds.

I am trying apple cider vinegar with "mother" and I think it is helping. However, it is too soon to really know for sure. If this does work for me I will be sure to post the results. If you care to, I suggest you try it yourself.
It is cheap, about $4 or less a bottle. Just make sure you get an ACV with
"mother", others will not work.

I tried apple cider vinegar and it didn't work. I had really bad symptoms after taking this. Theory is that in some people they have too little acid which means the food doesn't get broken down and causing similar symptoms to too much acid.
Although the one I tried did't have "mother", Donsabi, what is "mother"? Good to hear that you are having some success - hope it continues.

Hi, I too have been taking Apple Cider Vinegar, the one with "Mother" (Braggs) and I'm finding it does help me. It works quickly in helping to sooth my stomach.

The mother is the dark, cloudy substance in the ACV. Vinegar's containing the mother contain enzymes and minerals that other vinegar's may not contain due to over processing, filtration and overheating.
Directions for taking this is two teaspoons of ACV with about the same amount of honey diluted to eight ounces of water. This is important because years ago I tried ACV straight and I thought it was going to burn a hole in my stomach.
BTW, thanks for the tip on the aloe and slippery elm. It still take them and I seem to be getting better relief with the natural remedies than the PPI’s. (PPI’s seem to create IBS problems with me).

Personally, I found ACV (apple cider vinegar) one of the worst things to take! It gave me horrible heartburn !! And it did have "mother" in it; if you pour ACV into a clear glass, you will see small "cow web type" looking things in the vinegar, that is the "mother".

It is too bad though, I hear ACV is good for alot of ailments.
