Is There Any Way To Get Rid Of Deep Lined Wrinkles Above The Lip
Im So Upset About It I Could Cry
I Can't Look At My Mouth In Any Light Without Seeing Them
I Am Only 46 Years Old
The Rest Of Me Looks Great
Is Surgery Or Injections The Only Answer?
Please Help!!!!

Obviously you are "pursing" your lips, sorta like grasping around a straw or puckering up to kiss unconsciously and this definitely creates lines above the lips.

It is hard to stop doing something you have not been aware of, but, it is possible. Try keeping a semi smile on your face at all times, this will keep lips from being pursed.

How do I know this? My daughters called it to my attention. I was not aware of doing that and had to find a way to stop or I was going to look just like my elderly mother at a much younger age!!

if they really are deep, as you say they are, you'll need to see somebody about them.Laser resurfacing or injections might be it. Another thing you might want to look into is Thermage. I'm not sure if they'll do just the upper lip but you could find out. There's no downtime with it, no needles, just a radio frequency charged flat tip. It delivers energy(heat) into the deeper layers of the skin without affecting anything on the surface. It tightens and plumps and lasts for years with one tx. Nobody knows you did anything, cause it takes about 3 months for your skin to completely tighten from it. You're pink for about as long as the procedure is(for whole face about an hour), then you just gradually look better and better.Again Idon't know if it's the best thing for such a localized area but you can check. I've seen pt's lines soften before my eyes(but most take longer to see results). My mom would never do botox or surgery but she wants this bad.

awww don't try keeping a semi smile. aging is beautiful, that sounds about right having wrinkles there at 46. I'm only 22 and I have deep wrinkles in my forehead, and I still smile and make animated facial expressions. just because you are aging doesn't mean you have to die facially. The wrinkles are imprints of the good times and bad, a lifetime of facial emotions, wearing the heart on the sleeve, embrace it I say. Plus, I think wrinkles look very cute on women at your age, if you have none you look tend to look robotic. But otherwise, if it bothers you a lot, I heard filler was great for those kind of wrinkles.
