Can you possibly have lesions on your spine (thoracic or lumbar) and not on the brain. Also, is the location of the lesions pertinant to where you have your problem. One more question, is severe muscle pain part of the MonSter? I've been told so many things that I'm just confused to death. I have stopped going to the dr for this (after I was told yes I have MS, no I don't). I just take the symptoms as they come, but some things are just begining to get to me: the blurry vision, the muscle pain, the tingling and body parts falling asleep. Sorry this got so lengthy I guess I'm just frustrated with the whole thing. Thanks for letting me vent!

~~ I know how you feel, I feel like the gum commercial, "three out of four of my MD's told me I have ms". But to follow protocal , I need two more tests, lower nerve study in legs, & lumbar spinal. All the others indicate yes, so I know how you want to throw in the towel. Good luck to you, & what teats have you had?. Peace sent your way.

Yes, you can have lesions on just the spine and not the brain. That's how it is with me. I know how you feel, I get 'episodes' of tingling, numbness, being unbalanced when trying to walk. I have found, though, the 'episodes' seem to hit when I'm over tired or it's warm.

Thanks for letting me know. I have not pressed for an MRI of my spine, but maybe I should. I don't know. I guess I feel like if I just knew for 100% that yes this is it I would feel better. You can handle anything if you know what your dealing with. The MS speciallist in Atlanta said yes it is ms. Maybe I should just accept it and deal. Augh....Thanks again. And God Bless!

HI-I had a lesion on the cervical nerve root of my spine...paralyzed me for a month.....you need to have a nerve conduction study done. They show the lesions in the spine and neck. An Mri does not always pick up lesions as it did not pick up mine the 1st time and I was going insane.....I know that something really bad was wrong......it was. My Neuro ordered a nerve conduction and there is was.....he treated me 1st with 6 bags of Solu-medrol...did not even touch it. Then he used Cytoxen...a chemo drug to get to the immune system. If you are having tingling, numbness, trouble walking etc....get to another Neuro. You need that test ASAP....Good luck and BLESSINGS.....Kahlia
