Is laser hair removal the only way. i97 04-16-2005, 10:38 AM I would say so. There are some products which contain ammounts of acids and other products not good for your health. These products go deep and burn the roots and the molecules neccessary for hair growth. I do not recomend them. 3 or 4 years ago they were popular but now many companies have stopped producing because of the issues these products brought suhc as skin damage, permanent mmarks etc. Choice 04-16-2005, 10:45 AM If the hair is dark, laser hair removal is the better choice for permanency. If the hair isn't dark, electrolysis is the only permanent choice. ladivapr02 04-18-2005, 08:13 PM laser hair removal is the only permanent way my friend. That's why it is expensive Choice 04-18-2005, 09:21 PM Laser hair removal is not the only permanent way. Electrolysis is the only method the FDA allows to state "permanent hair removal." Laser hair removal has FDA clearance for "permanent hair reduction." Lasers have no effect on blonde, grey, white, and most red hairs. Electrolysis is permanent on any hair on any skin. Once treatments are completed, laser works out to be much less expensive than electrolysis. ladivapr02 04-18-2005, 10:12 PM Yes, laser/electrolysis are the only permanent ways it's okay to correct. True that it doesnt work well on blonde but there is something you can do about it. They sell stuff that will change the color of the blonde so the laser can then absorb it better. I know most of the technicians at my laser place are blondes and they all have been succesful with the laser. Choice 04-20-2005, 02:27 AM The stuff that you are referring to is called Meladine. It was heavily peddled by one particular chain and recently the FDA pulled it off the market because it has proven to be worthless. Unless technicians also offer electrolysis, they're not likely to say anything negative about laser hair removal. ladivapr02 04-21-2005, 07:06 PM The stuff that you are referring to is called Meladine. Unless technicians also offer electrolysis, they're not likely to say anything negative about laser hair removal. True that they won't say anything negative simply because there isn't really anything negative to say about it aside that it does hurt. :) Wished I had more money now to do my legs! i97 04-22-2005, 04:28 PM How much would taking the hair off of my body from the waste up cost if I considered Laser hair Removal? ( all of the body above the waste but my facial and head hair ) I have no problem now, but I will in the future, being only 16 I am normal. My dad however, is a little harier than normal and I am getting there. I have more leg hair and arm hair than most of my friends. Thinking of Laser hair Removal. Thanx in Advance, i97 |
