View Full Version : PPI's causing IBS?

I have noticed that when I take Protonix I develop IBS. I usually get most of the pain at the turn between the traverse colon and the descending colon, (left side).
Is the lack of acid, due to the PPI's, in my stomach resulting in poorly digested food contributing to this flare up of IBS?
Comments appreciated, thanks.
