At my doctor's visit yesterday, I was told that I was mildly anemic. I didn't see my usual doctor, he was out, I saw a young intern. The first thing she told me was to get blood work done to check my iron levels, which I am doing today. She also told me to have a colonoscopy done. I don't know if this is common for mild anemia or not. I am going to talk to my regular doctor in two weeks when he returns. I forgot to mention that I am a 49 year old woman going through perimenopause. Has anyone gone through this? Now I'm really worried.
