Hey Chele'
Hope you are doing ok? I spoke to my surgeon yesterday and he told me that Physical Therapy won't be neccessary unless I can not straighten my arm and I can drive when I stop using the pain meds. I know I made the right decision to proceed with the surgery: He tested my hand and arm strength yesterday and it has worsen since my first evaluation. Let me know how you are doing?

Glad to hear about your baby girl. I assume dh is your husband and I'm sorry to hear that he won't be around. I bet you end up feeling more comforted by your mom any way. My sister is coming for me. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hi Shelby,
Sorry I have not posted sooner. alot going on. My Mother is not coming up for my surgery, my Grandmother is not doing to well, so I told her to stay home and take care of her. That is where she sould be. So I had to find someone else to take me to the hosp. I asked my sons girlfriend. I had no one else to ask. My son is at basci training for the Army and My hubby is In the Army and left today. SO I am left with the other 3 children and they cant drive. So I had to find someone.
She said she would. SO Thanks God.

I will say a Big Prayer for you also. I hope that all goes well and I am glad that your sister is coming to help you. :)`

Have one question: How long is your surgery going to take? I have no idea.

As Soon as I can I will post, I will also look for you to post when you can. :)
You just take care and I will talk to you later.
Many Hugs and Blessings, Chele'

i'm here! sugery lasted a little longer than expected... 1.5hrs. he said my ulnar nerve was really ticked off with lots of inflamation. The carpal tunnel laid flat and irritated. Feel relief with that already. my elbow feels like its on fire, and really hurts, but it does feel a little better when i take two pain pills at a time. i have to wear a soft cast [ace wrap] for 10 days without removing it; im also in a sling; im not sure how long for that.
i was thinking about you and said a prayer that it would be clean sailing for both of us. how did your procedure go. please tell me that you have help because i couldnt get by without. hope to hear from you soon....going to bed, cant keep my eyes open. take care,
:) shelbys

Hey there Chele,
I'm hanging in there too. I was taking the strongest dose of pain med allowed for 3-4 days then I cut back to 1 tab every 6 hours and I am really feeling it now. It's tolerable but real hard to sleep! There in no comfortable position when you have stitches up and down your elbow. haha Surprisingly my hand was killing me on day 2-3 with visable bruising and swelling in the palm of my hand? The incision was suppose to be across my wrist.....well my sis and I snuck a peek and he made the incision in my hand instead: I guess I'll find out why on Friday when the stitches come out. Yea! :) The bandage they wrapped me in keeps sliding down as the swelling decreases; however, it bunches up right at the incision sites and gives me fits. I've been driving since Sat. and it's not my favorite thing to do with one arm. Are you getting help with the kids? Mine have been pretty good through it all, but don't understand why I can't continue to cater to them? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif
I'll keep you in my prayers..take care and keep me posted.
