I know this may seem like a silly question, but i am pretty worried, i,ve read loads of info on heartburn and they all say that it is a bitter or acidic taste , what i am having is a real burning feeling from my mouth to my stomach 24/7 and it tastes like i have eaten a load of pepper and other times its like a real strong sensation of mint, i've had this now for 4 months, the doctor put me on zoton just to see if it would help as i was also getting like gnawing hunger pains in my stomach even after eating, well its taken the hunger feeling away but i,m still getting this really bad hot burning of pepper, it dont disturb me at night but it starts as soon as i get out of bed in the morning and it seems worse if i am standing.
thank you for reading this
any advice would be really appreciated

Hi. You know the thing that makes this disease so disturbing is that it presents itself so differently with each person. When I get acid in my mouth it is a burning sensation ... though I can't associate it with any food. It is usually accompanied by a burning feeling in my throat ... literally as if someone dripped acid down my throat or slit the inside of my throat with a razorblade. Mine is also worse during the day (I have read on the boards that LPR is often worse during the day) as you are bending and moving and pushing the acid higher up into the throat. I hope this helps a little. It can be overwhelming and scary at times.
