Fatigue...arrrrggghhhh I HATE it!

~ahem~

Ok excuse me. Had to get that out of my system.

Wondering what, if any, meds. everyone is taking for fatigue. Neuro has me on Provigil. But somedays, I swear I could take the whole bottle and it wouldn't help.

Or if your not taking meds, any suggestions on how to get through the day and help keep the fatigue to a minimum?

Take care!!

Hi,
My daughter has tried Provigil and didn't like it. What she likes best is lots of coffee in the morning and a pick-me-up cup or two at about 3 in the afternoon. It is really the only thing that helps her make it through the day. Even then, sometimes she has to take a nap.

Take care,
Julie

I'm not so hip on the Provigil either. I thought it helped the fist week I was on it, now I think it's why i'm getting so many headaches. I'm going to go off of it for a week to see if my headaches stop.

After having MS for 9 LONG years, I have found the best thing to do is to LAY down and rest, even if it is or an hour. It will refresh you. I have not found any drug that helps fatigue...it is a big part of the disease.....Kahlia...get some rest.....

Hi Dazee,
I take 100mg Amantadine along with 200mg Provigil, sometimes an additional 100mg provigil if I'm needing to go out in the evening, etc. I also need a nap/rest mid-afternoon about 4 days out of 7 even with the Provigil & Amantadine. The fatigue associated with MS is the most frustrating part of it all for me. I can deal with all the other sx (well, usually), but when I'm feeling good and fatigue kicks in I just get so annoyed at having to give up precious quality time to rest. However, I know if I don't rest, I'll be in for it! MS always reminds us who's REALLY in charge!
Take care,
Dee
