Lately I have noticed that as soon as I get up in the morning I am miserble. It is like I am still sleeping or something. I feel so off balance, my eyes are giving alot of problems during that time and I feel shaky, trembly etc. I have MAV and dont know how this all relates but as the day progresses I can sometimes feel better on my own or have to pop a dreaded but much needed xanax to get on with the day. I hav echecked my blood sugar at these times because thats almost what it feels like but all is normal there, its like I have an adrenaline surge or something from getting up and it sets me off. Is this common with this condition or am I over dramatizing this???
Thanks,
Kim

Hi again hdnighttrain!

'nother quickie.... as you mentioned it I thought I'd say that yes inner-ear/vertigo sufferers are rather sensitive to blood sugar levels and can get hypoglycemic.
You are eating properly/regularly aren't you?
I think some of the people on here follow a special diet...

Hope this might help!!

Hi...I would think since your blood sugar is normal it is probably to do with the adrenaline.
A few months back I would get adrenaline surges all the time, and at other times I would get the shaky legs but not feel any adrenaline per se, just be going about my business and then suddenly feel like my legs were going to give out from under me, weak and shaky all over. I even thought to have my blood sugar checked since my mom is diabetic, that maybe that was what was going on with me.

It doesn't feel normal to always be in the "fight or flight" mode and sometimes you feel like you are just going to give way under the pressure of it. It has a whole range of other lovely things that go along with it too...like GERD...it seems like your body belongs to someone else or it is running on some weird program that you can't abort. And I don't think medical science quite understands how it all works together.
But I think after all it is a normal physical response and when you understand that it is easier to ride it out. You aren't going nuts or anything; it is just your body's way of coping with all the mixed signals.
Hang in there, OK? :)
