I was just wondering, does anyone have the symptom of feeling like your neck is swollen? I've recently been diagnosed with lpr and currently on nexium 40 mg. 1x day and 150 mg. ranitidine at bedtime. I've had this feeling of a swollen neck along with the lump in the throat for 1-1/2 yrs. My neck is red and always feels swollen but by looking at it, its really not.
Anyone???????

:) hi. i have the same feeling of my throat being swollen. ENT said i had lpr. the lump in your throat, is it the feeling of a lump in your throat. the only reason i went to the doctor was that i have a flesh colored lump, bump or whatever you would call it on the left side in the back of my throat right where the tongue starts to go down the throat. he put me on nexium 40mg a day.

Hi
Yes I feel like I have a swollen neck aswell. I am always feeling it and checking my glands aswell. I'd never even twigged that it could be linked to lpr. Makes a lot of sense.

I have experienced your exact symptoms for over a year! I just went to see a specialist, and he diagnosed me with GERD yesterday. I was convinced that I had either a goiter, or God forbid thyroid cancer. It sometimes felt like I couldn't hold my head up, couldnt find a comfortable position..... He said that this is normal for GERD becase it causes such an annoying sensation that you constantly clench your neck muscles. He put my on Nexium, which I am about to start.

hey everyone,
Thanks for the responses........It's good to know I'm not crazy!!!!!!!
Everyday is a challenge with this disease. This swollen neck feeling has got to be the worst. I also have a small goiter, that's why it took so long to be diagnosed with LPR, everyone suspected it was thyroid related. It's been along 1-1/2 yrs. Well I now have a month of nexium under my belt and just had ranitindine added 4 days ago. So hopefully things will start to work. I just can't believe the amount of people out there that are also suffering........
Take care and happy healing
