My grandmother had this put in a little over a year ago. She was having bad backpains prior to it. She does suffer from a bad back but she can tell the difference between the two. Well she is now almost at the same pain level she was prior to surgery one year ago. Can a stent move or dislodge? She's terrified of going to the dr because she is still recovering from triple bypass surgery in December. She tells me she won't have another surgery. What should I do? If it's a stent problem, couldn't that lead to renal failure? Any info will be helpful for me, I don't know a thing about this. Thank you so much!!

Hi, I am not sure if it could move or dislodge. But it MIGHT be possible that another narrowing has developed somewhere else. If I were you i would call the Dr. just to check her question out. Trust me, it is not something that she wants to ignore, it could only get worse it it is in fact a kidney problem.
