View Full Version : Blood pressure lying down

Just for kicks and giggles, I decided to take my bp lying down the other night. My blood pressure has been a great average of 119/79, but when I checked while I was lying down it was 111/64 and one read 109/57!! Is this cause for concern? I've never seen my diastolic that low...ever!! I have been exercising five days a week, taking my garlic, drinking my organic apple cider vinegar water and have been taking Trimspa to curb my appetite for I am overweight.

Any thoughts would help!

I take a physical every 2 years for my job and when they get too high of a reading they tell me to lie down so they can take it again (they KNOW it'll be lower), so a lower pressure while laying down is quite normal :)

Just wanted to second what sunlover said..lying down (supine) BP is usually lower and your #s are fine. No cause for concern at all!
