I am on xanax and take it three times a day but have been taking my blood pressure every morning for the past 2 weeks as I always feel like crap and find that every morning my readings are 144/89 to the lowest at 125/91 but in the evening it is 94/52 at highest and 87/47 at lowest...during the day it is like 116/67..any clues as to why that would be or what can cause that?

Sleep apnea can cause high blood pressure. That might give you highest readings first thing in the morning.

shandlee,

That's a normal progression. Many people have the highest BP waking up.

I was also keying into the poster's mention of feeling bad first thing in the morning. Going to bed at a reasonable time but frequent waking, or waking in the morning feeling unrested, coupled with high blood pressure readings, might indicate sleep apnea.
