Hi all...
Am curious what part of the brain are MS lesions normally located???
Mine are left frontal lobe! Was told at 1st a brain tumor!
1cm...then after more MRI's months later told area of demylination...suggestive of MS!
The past yr has shown slow focal changes in the lesion!
What the heck does that mean????

Hi-My lesions are also in the frontal lobe...I have trouble saying things at times and remembering things....I put my socks in the freezer!!!! The focal changes mean that there is some change in the lesion....perhaps it is turning to plaque??? I hope so. I have had an MRI recently and have new lesions in the spinal area...YEAH......I hope you are doing well and hang in there...are you on any meds???? Kahlia

Hi janeellen,

I too have the very same question. My rheumie ordered a brain MRI after he dx-ed me with fibro. He did this because the fibro did not explain my multitudes of other symptoms.

It showed a lesion on my brain in the pons region. He told me to NOT see a neurologist, but find a neurosurgeon. Saw the neurosurgeon yesterday, who said it was tiny and could be nothing, but if it grows, it's inoperable. Please note this was a highly esteemed institute I went to.

I have the same question. I am hoping we will get several replies. I am very scared. Especially being that I was told to seek a neurosurgeon fast. The surgeon told me to see a neurologist and be accessed for MS. I have so many symptoms of MS it's crazy.

Where is YOUR lesion located? Like I say, mine is in the pons, and just 4mm.

Hang in there with me, hopefully someone will help us out here
