Why do people with sickle cell anemia have yellow eyes sometimes? Does sickle cell anemia affect you liver somehow? And does having the sickle cell trait somehow affect you? Are there cases of people getting sick because they have the trait?

my 2 kids have sickle cell disease i have the trait and my husband have the trait there is a 1 in 4 chance (with each pregnancy) your child will have the disease. The liver is affected because the blood vessels are so small and it is hard for the sickle shaped blood cells to pass thru also oxygen dont pass well in the body.i have the trait and i think having the trait dont make you sickly just occasionally more tired than others
