Does anyone know if fasiculations associated with ALS start and stop very often? The bottom of my foot was twitching constantly for several weeks and now it has stopped. There aren't any signs of weakness or athropy in my foot although my ankle has been sore. The muscles of my foot showed acute and chronic denervation on my EMG. My neurologist told me that the small fasiculations that are harder to see are the ones that I should be worried about. He said that fasiculations that I have don't resemble ALS and he told be that they are probably caused by BFS.

My husband has had fasciculations for well over a year now and his have never stopped. They happen constantly. In fact, they have spread to other areas of his body now.
