My insurance company just informed me that my orthopedist is no longer providing services under my insurance company. I unfortuneately will have to find a new orthopedist. I have had bad luck with orthopedists. When I asked another orthopedist about the possibility of an AFO, he replied that those were only for people with cerebral palsy( which is what I have). I then switched to a new orthopedist (the one that is no longer with my insurance). I basically just picked his name out of the insurance book, and gave him a try. I am glad I did because I got my AFO. However, I do not like a guessing game. What is the best method of finding an orthopedist that can deal with (or specialize in) cerebral palsy?
Thanks!
