 Hi everyone I'm new to this board,

I have a few questions. Over the past 3 weeks I've gotten soo tired I will get up late and then feel like going back to bed 3 hours later. (and usually do.) I've also been having headaches and my bones in my arms and legs feel very stiff and are sore. I also have some of the "little red dots" on my arms and legs. What do you think this could be?

Thanks!

Belle

Your symptoms may represent many kind of diseases and abnormalities, however it also could be a normal tiredness. I suggest you to see your doctor ASAP.

I wish you get well soon.

I've been to the ER twice about three weeks ago because I was dizzy, had head pressure , head-aches and a general sick feeling. I've also been to three doctors...they all have no clue what is wrong but I didn't have any blood taken, or it even suggested...do you think that would be a good idea? I feel really old cause I'm so achy and tired...but I'm only 18

Thanks again!

I think you should ask for blood test. Perhaps you have anemia or something. If everything comeback normally, it will be good for you.

Also try to eat good diet and multivitamin suplement.

Wish you good health

DEFINITELY get those blood tests! You have to participate in your care in order for it to be most efficient. With this in mind ask (politely) next time you see your doctor for him to order a CBC for you and then that you would like for him to take a look at it. A blood count is one of the easiest and quickest things to check so Im surprised that after ER visits and multiple doctor appointments no one has asked for one. I think I had a full CBC done the very first time I ever went to the Doc for all my symptoms back in March of 2004. Ive since had another in August, and ANOTHER just a few days ago by my new Dr. in PA.

Many many abnormalities and infections will show deviances in your CBC soooo if your STILL tired and not feeling generally peppy after weeks and weeks and just dont feel "right" I see nothing wrong with asking for a basic CBC.

Good luck,
Ian.

Ok, thanks for the advice! I think I will go get blood work done at some point. Do you personally think I should get it done sooner? Or should I wait things out awhile longer and see what happens?

Thanks!

Belle :)

You need to see a good doctor...ER doctors tend to be in a rush and don't have time to be very thorough....you need a full workup...you could have a range of illnesses. Because you are eighteen and tired, you should be tested for mono...you should also be tested for lupus, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia....also you should try to figure out if you could have an allergy to a certain food...keep a record of how you feel after eating certain foods...def. take a multivitamin and up the water intake, leave out the soda, and eat as many fruits and veggies as possible. Good luck!!

DEMAND bloodwork....my daughter had what the doc's thought was the flu that wouldn't go away.. after a couple rounds of antibiotics, I put my foot down and told them they either did the labs or I'd take her somewhere else.. her Hemoglobin came back a miserable 4... far, far from normal... and she was diagnosed with ALL 4 hours later...

DEMAND bloodwork....

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter...I know the post you left me last was a few months back so I hope you still get this...Did your daughter have any other symptoms than the flu?

Thanks for your time!

Belle
