Just wondering if any of you out there are taking the Climara patches for hormones? That is what the dr has prescribed for me and I wanted to know if any of you have had any side effects?

Thanks,

Hi,

I used them for years.....I don't remember the dosage, but I think it was the lowest. I have since switched to EstraDot which is MUCH smaller. No side effects that I recognised (have been using HRT since hysterectomy in 1993).

Once a week patch was awesome.

I've been on the climara patch for 4 years since my hysterectomy. I had the hyst for endo, I had problems with the endo flaring back up at first with the hormones added. So I would have to go off for a few months. But with the patch itself I've had no problems, no side effects.

I had to go 6 months with no hormones at first so when I went on the patch I had increased hotflashes from my estrogen level rising. Once it leveled out I felt great..

I'm on the highest dose .1mg. The patch is good size, lower doses are smaller. Had a problem with it sticking at first but I started cleaning the area with alcohol first before applying patch and have had no problems since.
