View Full Version : Dad's CT results weren't good...

:nono: With tears in my eyes, I am writing to tell you that my dad's scan results came back with two spots on his liver (I still can't seem to believe this is true) He was stage 3 with 11 out of 10 lymph nodes involded. I had so much hope that he would be OK and that everything would come back clear like the last scan.

My dad means the world to me and my family and my two year old daughter thinks he's the best thing since slice bread. She adores her PA that's what she calls him more then anything in this world, and he lives for her, he really does. I was scared before of loosing my dad, but know I am really scared, I don't see much hope anymore, it's still in his lymph nodes and it's already hit the liver at two stops...Does anyone know anyone that made it through all this? I don't know how much time it normally takes once it starts spreading, that's what scaring me the most? I guess there is no chance for cure now or am I wrong? I would appreciate honnest replies, even if it's not good news. Trust me, I can feel any worse then I do now.

Thanks guys again for everything.

Julie

I just wanted to say to never lose hope...Tragedy w/o hope is despair...but with hope in the midst of tragedy there can be many opportunities for many great things.

I admire you for your great love for your dad. Turn your worries into prayers...or try to. I know it's not easy when we love so deeply.

God bless.

julie, so sorry to hear of the problems you dad is having, but do not give up hope. I had a lot more mets to my liver than that, and was dx stage 4. Here it is over a year and I am still here and doing much better than a year ago. Just keep your faith and remember all things are possible with God. DJ

Hi juliemarie

sorry to hear of your father's results - it was obviously a huge blow to you. My husband was diag in April 2003 with stage 4 colon cancer with mets to liver. He underwent 13 months of surgery and treatment and is doing really well...... going to gym, cycling, and working and trying to get to the bottom of my never ending list of jobs to do. It is a hard road to travel.

take heart that there are many stage 4ers on this board who continue to thrive.

good luck
ktee
