Hey AbbysMOM,
I'm the mom of worldclass tagteamers! My twins(boy & girl) were born very premature at 27weeks. They are affected by cp. sounds like more involved that abby. I'm with you when you say "you're glad she's here". When the tears dry, seems like you can see more clearly the blessing of life. How old is abby? Mine are almost four. Developementaly about 12 mons. I was talking to my occupational therapist about a program with the horses and was glad to hear of your success! It's sooo great when something clicks for our special children. Those times when you know for certain they are joyfull.
I'll try to e-mail you sometime. We are always looking for new freinds too. God bless you and yours

Hi Abby's Mom:
I also have CP. At 41 years old, I had many surgeries as a child, some more successful than others.
I remember going horseback riding & I'm sure Abby enjoys it! I use a wheelchair now, and although I do need help with some things, I am pretty independent.
I have a bachelor's degree ( it's ancient), & have been married for 15 years. My husband has spina bifida,so life can be challenging. Right now, my main problem is spasticity & tense muscles. I haven't seemed to find the right medication to control that w/out having side effects. I would love it if we could correspond - I'm online alot. Best wishes to Abby, you, & your family.
