Well I have this friend , shes 17 I guess - And has a mild case of CP , she wears leg braces from time to time , is easily winded (gets tired easy) and has a case of ADD.

What I and she would like to know is , would alcohol have the same effects on her as it does on most people ? I dont want anything bad to happen to her , yes I know she is underage - But she is going to drink to experiment anyways (the whole teen rebelion thing) .. So id really appreciate , some feedback - If anyone has experience let me know please =]

I have had limited experience with alcohol-I have mild c.p. and was afraid that alcohol would cause damage or cause me to loose control, etc. I tried alcohol for the first time with a group of friends at a big event on the 4th of July. I felt really numb and lightheaded after I had one wine cooler. I am not sure if this affect is the same with me as others. Right now, I feel that I should have experimented first at home because I felt really out of it all night long and I could have fallen, etc.

Hi,

I recommend your friend consider speaking with her parents about her desire to try an alcoholic beverage. She'd be better served having that first experience at home, in an environment that is familiar to her. If she's on any sort of medication to control muscle spasms, etc., I'd recommend that she not drink. She can still have fun, and enjoy herself without benefit of alcohol.

Kind regards,

I have Mild Cp at 24. I drink all the rime, Dont baby your friend let her live. As long as she is not on any meds that would be affected by the drinking, there should be no problem with her drinking. Have drink with her and get crazy.
