dose anyone have an idea on where i can get a used wheelchair for cheap. It is needed for my twin sister who's chair just broke and will cost $3,000 to repair. Needed really soon.

i was wondering if you have insurance for her? my daughter has medicaid ssi lifeline.... mostly everything is paid for...doctors, neurologists,medicine, wheelchairs, seating chairs, bath seats...etc.
i know once you already have a wheelchair...medicaid usually doent allow another one to be bought and have them pay for it...but if it broke...you might be able to have them pay for it.... i hope you have some sort of insurance....from my experiance..being that my daughter is disabled...medicaid works wonders for us....

What size whellcahir is your sister in? electric or manual?
I thought Canada was supposed to be really good for taking care of those things.. I thought it was only here in the states we had to fight tooth and nail to get any help for the handicapped. (It took me 18 months of appeals and judges) to make NY medicaid cover their share of my sons wheelchair

Hello everyone,
Phillippa was looking for a wheelchair for me, i use size 14 manual chair.
yes the goverment helps us but they only pay for a chair every 5 years and they only pay 1/2 of the price and we have to pay the rest.
right now i'm using a old chair that is falling apart that we got for $50 from an day hospital. they gave it for us that cheap casue it was to broken for there use.
