Hi Cori
just wanted to wish you well for your white water rafting trip trip at the weekend - how exciting! I am very envious and want to hear all about it!
Hope you are getting on well still with the vrt - I read that they are running out of exercises so thats a really good sign, well done!

Im getting better too, than I was. Im feeling very tired today after 2 days of hectic work meetings and phone calls and constantly on the go. But I have made it through it so thats good. Doing a little driving, not much but trying to go regularly. I caught public transport a couple of days home from work, involving a lot of hanging around and the journey taking 2 hours when in the car it takes 40 minutes!!!! So looking forward to a quieter week next week!

Take care and have a great time!
All the best

Thanks Tess!
I'll let you know how the rafting was when I get back... I'm kind of bummed out because it's supposed to rain, but I guess we were all going to get wet anyways, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I was going to post to you today to give my 2 cents on the London Eye.. I think you should give it a try. I can't imagine that it would be too bad. I've never been on it (or to London, even) but our film crew shot some footage while on the Eye and it looked really cool. It also seemed to move slow enough that it shouldn't cause too many problems for you. I would imagine that if it made you dizzy you probably wouldn't feel the effects until afterwards and maybe you could take it easy after that. Maybe my rafting trip can help you forcast your London Eye trip. :)

Glad to hear that you're feeling better even though your week sounds like it could have been a lot smoother. I've been stuck in public transit situations like that a few times and it's just the worst. Hope you had a good book!

have a great weekend... I'll be thinking of you as I hit my first rapid!

Hi Tess,
Hope you had a relaxing weekend and you are feeling refeshed and ready for a new week.

The rafting trip went fine. I have to admit, that the closer it came time for us to leave, the more nervous I got, I almost decided not to go. We arrived on Saturday afternoon (a 2 hour car trip) and did some hiking around and then went to the campground for dinner and rest. We didn't have great weather, it was pretty cold and rainy, so I can't say that I slept very well, and I think my anxiety was getting the best of me, too. Sunday morning we got up pretty early, ate some breakfast and then got in vans to get to our launch point on the river... it was an hour drive... on windy roads. :dizzy: Needless to say I was a little off by the time we got the boat in the water. I felt okay once we were moving and we hit some crazy rapids! It was when we stopped for lunch that I had some trouble walking around on the river banks, but my husband and all my friends did a great job of helping me to get me around. The second half of the trip was a lot easier than the first, only a few rapids to go through and I felt pretty good.

I'm sure it was a combination of the lack of sleep, the rafting, the van ride and the 2 hour drive home... I was pretty dizzy once I got home and even had some trouble reading before bed last night. I'm still feeling more dizzy than usual today, I did carpool with a friend to get to work, I was a little nervous to drive myself. But all in all, I don't regret taking the trip, I had a great time and it was worth it, even if I'm still pretty spinny today.

How are you feeling? Hope you're doing well!

Hello Cori!
Wow Im pleased you had a great time - sounds like a really good trip. I bet its improved your confidence no end now that you have managed to do something like that!
Im not surprised you are a bit dizzy - I guess you got chucked around a bit and your brain would have had to do a lot of work to keep on top of it. At least you are able to go to work and I hope it is settling down as the week goes on. I hope you are not too down about it. Its a good idea to car share and have a bit of a rest.
Sounds like it was totally worth it, well done!!

Im not too bad actually, feeling a bit off at the moment, a bit dizzy, but I am going to work and being 'normal'. I am going to go back to my dr though and ask for some tests to find out exactly what this is and hopefully get some vrt. Im more tired than anything else at the moment. Im only doing small trips driving, not a great deal. Had a hectic weekend looking for clothes for 2 weddings! and we have just booked a holiday to Italy for one of the weddings. I am a little apprehensive about the flights though its not until August.

Anyway glad to hear from you.
Hope you are doing better now, take care and lots of best wishes
Tesss
