Hello,
I am working with a Speech Language Pathologist for the summer and she has asked me to compose a hand out for parents with children diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy. Nearly all of the information she has just gives that worst case senerios and is not very parent friendly. I am looking for some good information on the internet that I can use for this project. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hello,
My husband and I are blessed with a wonderful 17 month old daughter who was diagnosed yesterday with Spastic Diplegia. She is very high functioning with possible language deficit. She's only talking at a 14 month level so we'll continue to watch this. We are waiting on her MRI which is a month from now. Other than what we were told by the doctor, I don't know much about this affliction. They suggested medication, but both my husband and I don't feel good about this direction of treatment. They also suggested Botox injections as a possible treatment.
Also looking for a second opinion; can anyone suggest a Pediatric Neurologist in the Charlotte, NC area?
We're curios to find out more about other peoples experiences, symptons, therapies, etc.
Has anyone had luck with the injections or could you suggest other treatments?
Does anyone have any infomation or links?

Ask your pediatrician for a referral to a Neurologist.
My son had an MRI, and it came out clear. Good luck.

Hello,
I'm 22 with spastic Diplegia. I've had over 7 operations and when I was younger, doctors were uncertain of how serious my condition would be. I've been incredibly fortunate and would love to keep in contact with you. I hear Botox is a wonderful treatment. I would try it.
