View Full Version : Constant headache for 2 weeks on one side of head

Hi, I'm really hoping someone can help me. I'm 21 and since about 2 weeks ago I got a headache on the right side of my head. Usually I would think its a migrain and would get rid of it with 2x paracetamol + 2x ibuprofen. However this time it doesnt work and has now lost any effec at all. I have been to the doctors twice now which at first I was proscribed imigrame which at first almost got rid for about 2-3 hours but then gradually came back. Second time I went to see doctor he gave me a month supply of daily tablets which are bedranol (propranolol hydrochloride) 80mg which I have been taking for 4 days now. I am due to go back on Monday to book in for a scan (which I beleive there is a long waiting list for).
To describe the pain I wouldn't say it's too bad, I have had much worse but its just constantly there in the same spot.
Has or is anyone suffering from the same symptoms as me who can help. I would dread to be told I would have to just put up with this.
Thanks
Steven

Which side of your head? What area of your head.....neck, above ear, temple, etc.? What aggrevates them....exercise, bending over??
Do you have them when you lie down? Does it feel like a migraine, or is it different? If you don't have the pain lying down, when does it begin?
