i have posted on this topic before, but i just found out about "skin tags". i have these small, mole like bumps on my labia... it seemed like they showed up after i started shaving my genital area. anyways, they look like the pictures i've seen of skin tags but it seems like they might be spreading.. i started out with 2 bumps and now i have a couple more? i haven't had unprotected sex... so, do you think it's likely that they are skin tags? and will they go away on their own if they are? thank you!

toostrong,
I would get them checked out by a Dr.
about three years ago my husband (who at the time was my fiance) noticed a little bump on his testicles and got it checked out and it was HPV, a few months later i found what I thought was a skin tag and it was actually a wart, we always used protection, but the problem is that the condom didn't cover his testicles and thats how i got a wart. They aren't painful, just a pain in the butt, the Dr. can take some acid and put on the wart and within a couple of weekly treatments they will be gone, or they can freeze them off. So that kind og blows the theory of safe sex, because there is no true safe sex........... My husband got HPV from his last girlfriend, before me, but didn't realize that he had it, I guess she told him that she had an abnormal pap, but he didn't realize that it was an STD.... good luck, for you sake i hope its not HPV...

good post lonely, it is true what you say about their being no real safe sex when it comes to HPV and there is no true way of telling where you got it from either.

toostrong, I wouldn't presume that it is just skin tags you have, particularly if they have spread.

Make an appointment with your doctor and they will solve the problem for you.
