I have been having issues with axiety. Mostly involving the bathroom. It got bad then subsided but has now flared up again. My anxiety only got this bad within the last two months. It was never like this before. To me I didn't even have it.
My doctor suggested putting me on 25mg of Zoloft but I resisted. Has anyone else taken this and if so has it worked for you. I am leery about taking any medications for anxiety. I'm worried what it will do to me.

Doc put me on 50mg Zoloft, have only been taking it for to weeks though, not really any improvement yet. Would also be interested in any personal experiences.

I am on 75mgs Zoloft, seems to work pretty well, only been on it for 5-6 weeks. Any other opinions on Zoloft and anxiety issues would be greatly appreciated by me as well.

Hi! I stayed at 25 mg zoloft for three weeks; now I'm on my 4th week on 50 mg. I'm less depressed, but more anxious. It's more difficult to sleep, and I don't have much of an appitite. My doctor added buspar - we'll see!

I took zoloft for a few months. It worked great for me in reducing my anxiety to the point where it really didn't affect my life. after a while it's affect began to wear off, even after upping the dose. my doc weened me off zoloft for a generic form of prozac. that's helped even more than the zoloft.
like you, sportsdude, i was hesitant to start taking meds for anxiety. it took me almost a year to start taking meds after i was diagnosed.
i'm glad i did, because my life has gotten much better since.
it has to be a personal decision though. any different meds do different things to different people. talk with your doc about negative side affects.
i didn't notice any side affects with the zoloft. the only possible side affect with the gen. prozac that i've noticed is weight gain... but that could just be because my wife cooks good food.
whatever choice you make, i hope it helps!
