Don't know if this is the right place to post, but....

about 4 months ago I noticed a small pea-sized very hard lump just outside the sphincter ring - (tailbone side).
Having a history of cysts I decided to monitor the situation.....

well, in the last week, it seems a lot bigger, about the size of a grape.

It is still hard, doesn't seem to be inflamed, and it seems to be embedded inside the wall of tissue.

I'm in the process of making an appt. - my dr has referred me to a proctologist.
I suppose it could simply be a cyst. --- obviously I'm rather nervous about this.

anyone had anything similar?
