Hello to all, looking for answers.
Heres my problem, I’ve been have a very slight pain in my lower right side for quite some time, it comes and goes, primarlly in the bellybutton region, although it moves all around the right side, under the rib cage, down to the groin area, staying on the right side though primarlly. doctors have no clue what it is, im having blood work tomorrow. Currently on Zoloft. Theres no pain when pressure is applied, no nausea, pain isant that bad, more of a discomfort than anything. What do you all think this could be, my first fear and thought is appendicitis, but the doc says no, then I thought hernia, ulcer, or ibs. What are the chances of this. i have been moving a lot of weight at work lately, seems to have flared up when that begun.
Please reply
What do I tell the doc, I just changed doctors cuz my old one couldn’t find anything, and he wasn’t doing any tests.
what are the chances of this being the appendix, wouldnt i be in more pain than i am. my thought is the hernia, brought on by lifting, and i also have heartburn, which is a possible side affect of the hernia. just help by thinking its not the appendix.

Hi, Sometimes the appendix can be inflamed without actually being at the extreme point yet. My sister went for months before it actually become infected, where surgery was required. Could be a lot of things, or nothing but gas. Any history of kidney stones in the family?

Well, I am no expert, but I think the surgery itself is a pretty short procedure. Everyone is different afterwards, though, but they don't keep you in hospitals very long at all these days. They'd keep you longer if you had a fever, or some signs of infection. I could be wrong, but I read somewhere, possibly on FDA website (have to use it for work) that they aprroved some kind of diagnostic test for it. ...but don't quote me, I could be wrong. But I wouldn't worry about that just yet. It could all be because of the heavy lifting you did. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry, don't have any experience with them, except I think a doctor could feel a hernia on examination. The only thing I know about hernias, is that they are tears in the muscle, which if big enough, can allow intestines to poke through. But doctors can find them just by poking around your abdomen. Did they do that? If you were doing a lot of heavy lifting at work, you could've just strained your muscles pretty good. I'm on these boards trying to figure out why my ribs still hurt after 10 weeks...all because I had a cough with cold. They tell me it's muscles. Seems long to me...but maybe!!!
