i have been suffering with dizziness with no known cause for a year and have had all the tests out there and they have all been normal. My ENT scheduled me for a posturography test next week, but i am hesitant to get it because it seems like it will just be a waste of more time and money. My ENG was normal, MRI, CT, Sinus CT, blood work, and more were all normal. has anyone ever got any answers from a posturography that they couldn't get from an ENG? any input would be great. thanks!

I am waiting for approval from my insurance company to have that test. From what I know, you stand on some platform with electrodes on your head and I guess they move you around and see how your brain, ears, eyes respond and balance. That is the simple explanation. Could be more, but I am not sure.

I haven't had it done (well, I was supposed to get it done along with the ENG but they screwed up the request). I just got the book "Feeling Dizzy" and in it the author says: "Dynamic platform posturography is considered supplemental because it duplicates information available from other tests... Still, it has its supporters and may someday be standard for testing patients who are difficult to diagnose."
I hope that helps -- good luck!
